Company profile and branding
Everything the client sees — the portal, the proposal PDF, the invoice email, the crew brief — is branded with your business identity. Set it up once under Settings → Business & Brand.
What to set up
- Business name — shown in the portal header and on all documents
- Logo — upload a square or landscape logo (PNG or JPG). It appears on the portal header, proposals, invoices, and emails sent from Surfacely
- Brand colour — the primary colour used in the portal header and document accents. Use your brand hex code for a polished match
- Contact details — phone, email, and business address. These appear on quotes and invoices so clients can reach you
- ABN / company number — appears on invoices for compliance
Where your branding appears
- Client portal — header bar with logo and brand colour
- Proposals — cover page and PDF footer
- Quotes — PDF header and print view
- Invoices — header and all email correspondence
- Crew briefs — portal and PDF cover
- All transactional emails — from name, reply-to, and visual header
Updating your details
Changes apply immediately to the live portal. PDFs regenerated after the change will reflect the update. Previously sent documents are not retroactively changed.
Country and locale
Your account's country setting controls the measurement system (metric or imperial), currency display, and terminology (e.g. colour vs color). Set this correctly during onboarding — it flows into quotes, proposals, and pricing defaults.
Why it matters: clients form their first impression from the portal link in your quote email. A professional logo, brand colour, and your business name on the header signals that you run a professional operation — before they've even read the quote.
If you don't have a logo file handy, a simple wordmark (your business name in a neutral font) still looks significantly more professional than a placeholder. You can always update it later — changes apply everywhere instantly.
