Condition assessments in proposals and on the building page

An assessment belongs to the building, not to the job it was done on. That is what lets the work you did on site keep paying: a condition report in autumn becomes the evidence in a repaint proposal in spring, and the building's page always shows where it stands.

In a proposal

  1. Start a proposal from the repaint job as usual.
  2. On the setup step, under Assessment (optional), the building's condition assessments are listed by date with their counts, for example Condition assessment — 9 Oct 2026 · 2 Red, 3 Amber. Pick the one the proposal should draw on.
  3. The Our Assessment section then shows each Red and Amber area with its defects, named by the surface they are on. Green areas are left out: a section that lists what is fine is a section nobody reads.

The same rule runs in the PDF and in the AI draft, so the document the client keeps and the words the assistant proposes agree about which findings matter.

Older per-surface assessments (the 1–5 scale) still work the way they did; a proposal built on one is unchanged.

On the building page

The building's health chip and the line under it read the latest condition assessment: "2 Red, 3 Amber, 11 Green" and what that suggests. A building with no assessment shows no chip. Assess condition on the same page starts a new visit with no job behind it.

Planning over several years

When a site has been assessed, Plan this over several years can order the buildings worst condition first from the ratings, rather than only from the preparation level of the measurements. See Planning a multi-year program.
