Scheduling jobs and the calendar

Winning the job is half of it — the other half is knowing when it runs and who's on it. Once a quote's accepted, you can put the job on the calendar in about thirty seconds.

Getting to the scheduler

After a quote is accepted, the won-job card shows a Schedule job action. Tap it (or open the job and schedule from there). You don't have to wait until the job is "in progress" — scheduling is independent of status, so you can pencil a job in the day it's won.

What you set

As you fill it in, Surfacely shows the finish date so you can see straight away whether it clashes with the next job.

No labour hours on the quote? Auto-calculate has nothing to work from — switch it off and set the duration in working days by hand.

The calendar

Open Calendar from the menu to see every scheduled job — an agenda list of what's coming up, plus a month grid for the wider view. It's the fastest way to spot a gap or a double-booking before it bites.

Rescheduling

Rained out, or the client pushed it a week? Open the scheduler again, change the date, and add a quick reason (e.g. "rained out, pushed a week"). Surfacely keeps a count of how many times a job's moved, so a job that keeps slipping is easy to spot.

Who can schedule

Scheduling is available to owners and managers. Crew and viewers can see the calendar but don't set or move jobs.
