Adding team members and managing seats

Surfacely is multi-user. You invite team members by email, pick a role, and they get access that matches their job. Everyone works on the same projects, sees the same pipeline, and collaborates without stepping on each other.

Roles

Inviting a team member

Open Settings → Team. Tap + Invite, enter their email and role. They get an email with a link; when they click it, they sign up (or sign in if they already have an account) and are auto-approved into your organisation.

Seats and tiers

Your subscription tier sets a maximum number of seats. Free = 2. Solo = 1. Starter = 3. Professional = 10. Enterprise = unlimited with per-seat billing. Pending invitations also count as seats — if you invite someone and they haven't accepted yet, the seat is reserved.

If you hit your seat cap

Surfacely will refuse the invitation with a clear message. You have two options: upgrade your tier, or revoke an unused invitation. The upgrade flow is one tap if you're the owner from Settings → Billing — you're redirected to Stripe Checkout and the new seats are available within seconds of payment.

Device limits per user

Each user can be signed in on a limited number of devices depending on your tier (2 or 3). Signing in on a new device evicts the oldest session — which is an anti-sharing measure, not a bug. If someone keeps getting logged out, check they're not sharing credentials across a larger team than your tier allows.

Why it matters: a one-person business scales faster when the founder stops being the bottleneck. The seat and role system means you can hire an estimator or assistant and delegate confidently — they get exactly what they need to do the job, nothing they don't.
