Free plan building limit
The Free plan starts with 5 buildings as a lifetime total. Win a job — or just reach the limit — and we'll extend you to 10, free. No card required at any point.
What counts as a building
A building is created when you start a project at a new address — a house, a commercial building, a strata block. One project at one address is one building.
It's a lifetime counter, not an active count
The building count is a running total — it never goes backwards. Archiving or deleting a project does not free up a slot. If you've created 5 buildings at any point, you've used your initial free allocation.
Why it's a lifetime counter: it's designed to give you a genuine run at the platform — scope a real job, build a real quote, see how it works — not an indefinite way to stay free by churning projects.
The earned extension to 10
Once you win a job (a client accepts a quote or proposal) — or once you reach 5 buildings — we automatically extend your free limit to 10 buildings. Nothing to request; it happens on its own. The extension is a one-time lift, and the 10-building cap is the real free ceiling.
What happens at 10 buildings
When you try to start a new project and you've used your 10 buildings, you'll see an upgrade prompt before you can continue:
- Account owners are taken directly to Stripe checkout to upgrade
- Admins and managers are directed to Settings → Billing & Plan so the owner can action it
Upgrading removes the cap
The Solo, Starter, and Professional plans all include unlimited buildings. Head to Settings → Billing & Plan (owner only) to upgrade. All existing work, clients, quotes, and history are preserved — the upgrade just lifts the restriction.
